Surveys

“There is nothing more enticing, disenchanting, and enslaving than the life at sea.” – Joseph Conrad

Shallow Water Seabed
Seafloor

Shallow water seabed surveys are frequently conducted around the coastline.  Due to the Falklands unique water clarity and other sea conditions, there are exceptional kelp seaweed accumulations all around the shallow water coastline,  this can create difficulty with some close inshore seabed surveys. HML has access to diver support where necessary perhaps in search and recovery operations and the like.

Hydro Martech Ltd (HML) is well positioned to provide full Hydrographic, Geophysical, Visual and other marine surveys in and around the Falklands   Further afield operational locations can be considered especially when involving Scientific research and Environmental  organisations with interests in the South Atlantic.
With the recent embryonic Oil & Gas industry under an increasing development pace, HML is ideally positioned to undertake various client operational requirements from our Stanley Office base.

As the need increases for greater area seafloor survey work, a different approach to data acquisition arises.    HML can offer those clients the services of ROV (detailed inspection)  and more recently, AUV technologies, best suited to further afield deep water for Hydrographic survey over large ocean floor areas.

These can be complex and  challenging operations and are conducted by co-operative liaison with third parties with whom HML has established association providing robotic systems including rental services.   HML provides local logistical and asset support in the Falklands enhanced by the UK Aberdeen Office which has ready access to latest high technologies used in the marine survey and other sectors, combined with qualified personnel all in support of South Atlantic operations.
