High resolution weather forecasting has been advancing rapidly over the past number of years with improvements in accuracy and consistency as weather model algorithms are refined.

We are associated with the developer of such high – res weather forecasting packages designed around the O&G sector, of the user friendly PC based  "NCPro" package based in Ennis, Ireland.  (www.meteogroupoffshore.com)

NCPro S/W was introduced in 2000 with a basic 24 hour look ahead in 1 hour increments. It required to have an installation done by specialist and was incomplete in some respects - now that same concept has matured out of all recognition and is extremely user friendly giving reliable forecasts up to 3 days ahead, installation is via an email delivered link and takes a minute or two to install - users are many and varied in the marine industry in the UK and overseas internationally  The user list goes on expanding as weather is a most changeable entity which affects all offshore and marine activity in one form or another.

MeteoGroup Offshore - NCPro display screen example above illustrates a typical high spatial weather data NCPro system display.

MeteoGroup Offshore high resolution Marine weather forecasting service, showing the spatial data points of 12 nm and temporal data points of 1 hr (in 1st 24hrs).

The service is updated 4 x daily and has a 3 day forecasted period.

System is used by Irish naval Service and Marine and scientific users throughout Ireland and UK O&G sector is a significant user as is fast ferries and other commercial concerns throughout the world.

The O&G industry utilises NCPRo in many vessel locations and is seen with fleet users such as Technip, SS7 and many drilling Contractors including installed systems on board with many FPSO operators.
